A Word from Nate
The idea of working on a concept project came to me almost 3 years ago now, and I knew immediately I wanted to attempt to put the story of The Pilgrim’s Progress to music - but in my own words and with hints and pieces of my own life and story inter-woven throughout the lyrics.

I started the project with much zeal and determination, but I found it to be much more difficult and challenging than I had anticipated at the outset. So, after writing just a couple of songs in the first year, I put those songs along with my idea for the project on the shelf - so to speak. I went over a year without working on the project at all...

It wasn't until this past spring, after some encouragement and prodding from a few family members and friends that I picked the project back up and began to write again. Over the past 6 months or so I've completed another 6 or 7 songs, and am working my way toward completion of the album, which I have come to call The Pilgrim. To be honest, I feel that there is no way I could have even gotten this far had it not been for the hand of God upon this endeavor as well as encouragment and motivation from friends and family.

John Bunyan, who wrote The Pilgrim's Progress was a strong man and used by God to accomplish amazing things - one of which was writing The Pilgrim's Progress all from a jail cell in Bedford, England. It is my goal and wish to not only complete this project, but write words and melodies that John Bunyan would have been proud of.
